Modern cinema of Ukraine, as it seems, is going through its own better times now. However, everything can change if we allow the directors and script writers to work without constraining them with certain frameworks. Another thing is that to create a good film, you also need a budget, but Igor Nikolayevich Jankowski with many other people who are sure that our cinema can be raised to a new level.
So, in 2017 at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Yankovsky Igor with other filmmakers represented the modern Ukrainian cinema. Interested in this was much more than the organizers expected. Igor Nikolayevich Yankovsky himself is sure that everything can change. After all, now we have already started cooperation with foreign film studios, which is a tangible progress. Also, you should not take off the increased support of the state.
This allowed Ukraine to participate fully in the festival. And the directors entered the fight in all main categories (which is a significant progress). By the way, the short film "Technical break" F. Sotnichenko (it was his debut) received the grand prize.
