The England national football team has developed a plan for special security measures at the World Championships in Russia after a scandal involving the poisoning of former Russian intelligence agent Sergei Skripal.

The English will bring their own food and a team of experts who will check out local products.

It is noted that the delegation will bring favorite cupcakes of football players, baked beans, tomato sauce, chocolate, mustard and even tea bags. Russian meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, pasta and rice fall into the risk zone and will be closely monitored.

ххххххххххххххххххххххххх Recall, on March 5, the BBC reported that in the UK the former Russian intelligence agent Sergei Skripal was hospitalized after a serious poisoning with an unknown substance. The Telegraph found out that Skripal had previously applied to the police with a statement that he feared for his life. The wife of former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko told the publication that the situation with Skripal "is very similar to what happened to her husband". As you know, he died in 2006 as a result of polonium poisoning.

Sergei Skripal served in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Federation until 1999, after which he retired in the rank of colonel. 2004 he was detained on suspicion of espionage in favor of Britain and two years later sentenced to 13 years in prison. Scripal was found guilty of having transmitted to the British Secret Intelligence Service since 1995 data on Russian intelligence officers who worked undercover in Europe.

In 2010, Skripal and three other convicts in Russia were pardoned, after which they were exchanged for ten Russian intelligence agents uncovered in the United States. After the exchange, Skripal began to live in the UK.

Foreign Minister Boris Johnson said that the UK will show a tough reaction if Russia's involvement in the poisoning of the former Skrypal spy will be proven.

On March 14, British Prime Minister Teresa Mei stated that neither British officials nor members of the royal family would go to the World Cup 2018 because of the case of the poisoning of Skripal and his daughter.
