Midfielder Zari Zeljko Ljubenovich has made decision to finish professional career of the football player.

Midfielder Zeljko Lubonovic will finish his career in the upcoming summer, when his contract with Zarey will end.

"I decided to finish my career in the summer. I think it's time to finish. Thanks to the leadership of Dawn and, of course, to coach Vernibud that they went to meet me and allowed me to play as well as to study at the coaching courses, "said Lubovenovic.

"To be honest, health allows you to play for another couple of years for sure, but I see that recently I play very little, I do not get into the line-up and I think my time has passed. Now playing a lot of young players, fast players, it's their time, not mine, so I decided to finish ".

Lubenovic moved to Zarju in the summer of 2012 and since that he has held 163 matches for Lugansk players, in which he scored 27 goals, and also went to the final of the Cup of Ukraine 2015/16 and became the bronze medalist of the Ukrainian championship 2016/17.

In addition, the 36-year-old Serb is known in Ukraine for his performances for Alexandria, Tavria and Kryvbas.
