Ukraine took the 138th place out of 156 possible in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world. This is evidenced by the data of the sociological group of independent experts of UN organizations in the report of the World Happiness Report 2018.

Ukraine took the place between Sudan and Togo. Finland turned out to be the happiest country, second place - Norway, third - Denmark.

The US dropped to 18th place (five positions from 2016, - Ed.. , according to UN experts, because of the abundance of depressions and obesity among residents of the country.

Poland ranked 42nd, leading the war against Ukraine by the Russian aggressor state on the 59th.

The most unfortunate countries were Burundi, Central African Republic, Southern Sudan, Tanzania and Yemen.

The rating also studies the level of happiness of immigrants in each country. In it, Ukraine took 92 place out of the possible 117. First place- Finland.

Happiness was assessed by such criteria as life expectancy, social support, a healthy lifestyle, freedom, generosity, corruption and trust.

Reports of UN experts prepare annually for the International for happiness, which is celebrated on March 20.

In 2017, Ukraine ranked 132nd according to the report of the World Happiness Report 2017, in 2016 - 123.
