The Ministry of Sports of Ukraine issued an order banning the participation of national teams of Ukraine in sporting events on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the order, it is forbidden to plan and conduct training camps in Russia and participate in sports competitions.

"I want to add that competitions in Russia, with an eye on the domestic and foreign policies of this state, are simply dangerous for our athletes.

I also remind you that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and I, as Minister, call on the international federations not to nominate competitions on the territory of the country where the international legislation in the field of sports is systematically neglected and which violates the WADA code.

Aggressors and violators should be expelled from the arena of world sports, "commented the Minister of Sports Igor Zhdanov.

Recall, previously the Ukrainian team in biathlon refused to participate in the World Cup and Europe, which will be held in Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk, respectively.
