The WBO world champion in the second featherweight champion Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko signed a superheavy contract against the Venezuelan Jorge Linares.

Note that Linares is the WBA lightweight champion. For Lomachenko this battle will be the debut in lightweight. At stake is the WBA belt, which belongs to Linares.
