The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry considers it dangerous to hold in Crimea a new referendum on the peninsula belonging to Ksenia Sobchak. This view was expressed by the minister before the annual meeting of the leadership of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people with foreign diplomats. Klimkin spoke rather sharply about Sobchak, pointing out the illogicality of her thinking. The minister is surprised how Xenia can talk about the fact of violation of international law, if earlier it was related to the Crimea's joining with admiration, writes "Crimea. Realities ". "In 2014, she called the occupation" a brilliantly conducted military operation ". Today, recognizing the fact of violation of international law, she does not suggest that this be corrected, but suggests holding a mythical referendum only in the territory of the occupied Crimea. Who, by definition, will believe in the honesty of this referendum? "- said Klimkin. The Minister also stressed that such proposals are fraught with danger for the country. According to him, such a "trick" Sobchak wants to give the accession of Crimea legitimacy, and Ukraine will not buy this "deception". Recall that in December 2017, Ksenia Sobchak called the referendum in 2014 in the Crimea illegal and proposed to hold a new one with the participation of international observers. In her opinion, Crimeans need to ask if they want to see Crimea part of Ukraine, Russia or an independent state. The presidential candidate believes that due to the accession to Russia serious conflicts began in relations between countries around the world.
