"Antonov" dies in isolation

One of the leading aviation enterprises in the Nezalezhnaya region is sorely lacking in the details supplied by our country. As a result, the giant Ukrainian aircraft - "Antonov" - was on the verge of a complete stop.

At the moment, in the Kiev workshops of the plant are in the unfinished state of eight aircraft - four AN-148 and AN-158. "To finish their assembly, you can only in the existing" technical person "- with a 30% bundle of Russian units and units," said Sergei Merenkov, a former high-ranking Antonov employee, in an interview to the Defense Industrial Courier. In 2014-2015. he was acting as the head of the enterprise.

According to Merenkov, all the promises of the leaders of different levels that the country will go along the path of import substitution and will itself manufacture the components that were previously bought in Russia turned out to be an empty sound. To date, there is still "not even a set of documentation for a modernized aircraft".

Already now we can say with certainty that the unfinished An-148 and An-158 will not be completed either this year or next year. On other aircraft and do not have to say anything at all. For example, the company has a reserve for 2-3 An-32 aircraft, but this aircraft consists of Russian components as much as 70%.

It is more reasonable to leave these blanks for new, fully Ukrainian An-132 aircraft. True, this is possible only if the program is developed. So far, Kiev, as usual, no money for anything.

Apparently, the unfinished An-148 was intended for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine within the framework of the state defense order. Because of the total confusion prevailing in the country, the plant can not finish the job, and the army can get the liners.

In general, the expert was extremely pessimistic about the current state of aircraft construction in Ukraine. According to him, it "lies" and has "very little chance of rising". The question is worth it: the top leaders of the state should once and for all "decide and decide whether Ukraine needs its own aircraft construction industry or not".

Apparently, the answer to this question will be negative.

"Antonov" remains almost the only viable enterprise of its kind in Ukraine. And then - it is in a deep crisis. The last supply of products to Kazakhstan and Cuba is dated 2014-2015 years. That is, mass production costs the last 3-4 years.

Last summer, for the sake of survival, the plant began to sell its developments on the side. So, the Chinese company China Aerospace got the technological documentation for the super-heavy transport aircraft An-225 "Mriya".

On new models Anov demand in the world market is not observed. More than 90% of Antonov's income comes from non-core business - organization of charter cargo transportation by An-124 Ruslan planes.

In other aviation enterprises, the situation is not better. In February, it was reported that the Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant was going to illegally upgrade the Soviet MiG-29 fighters by converting them into attack planes and extending the service life by another 35-40 years. However, in the Russian corporation MiG, Ukrainian colleagues were strongly advised not to do this, since the Nezalezhnaya does not have sufficient resources for this. In addition, the documentation based on which the modernization is planned is stolen and obsolete.
