Ukraine was on the ninth place in the global ranking of countries with the fastest development of the car market. The rating was published by InsideEV`s.

Last year, Ukraine ranked fifth in the same ranking. The publication notes that then it became a surprise - the country showed how poor countries can develop the market of electric vehicles. InsideEV`s reported that in 2017 compared to 2016, electric vehicle sales nearly doubled and noticed that half of these cars are second-hand Nissan Leaf, brought from the US.

The publication stressed that Ukraine fell to the ninth place due to the fact that in 2017 total car sales grew by 60-70%, and against this background the share of electric vehicles increased from only 2.9% to 3.1%.

Leaders of the rating are China, Norway, Sweden and the United States.
