Russians for the first two months of this year because of falling incomes have less to buy vodka and cognac, and this, in turn, led to a reduction in the production of spirits compared to the indicators of 2017. This is written by Kommersant with reference to the data of the National Union of Consumer Rights Protection. It is noted that for January-February this year the volume of vodka production amounted to 9.61 million decalitres - it is by 3.2% less than in the past. Cognac for the same period was released in the amount of 0.88 million decalitres, which is 14.7% less year-on-year. "Here the reason is exclusively in the economic situation, the fall in the incomes of Russians. In principle, in winter, more hot drinks should be taken, this year demand is less, "- said the chairman of the union Pavel Shapkin. Meanwhile, the citizens of the country began to consume less and low-alcohol drinks. So, for two months of 2018 the production of those decreased by 21.3% - to 0.67 million decalitres. However, the Russians switched to champagne and sparkling wines - during the same period their release increased by 8.3% compared to the previous year - to 1.31 million decaliters. According to Rosstat, released at the end of this January, the real disposable income of residents of the Russian Federation for 2017 decreased by 1.7%. As of December 2017, out of work were 3.9 million people aged 15-72 years.
