The number of public organizations that will monitor compliance with the electoral rights of citizens and prepare observers for the election of the Russian President in 2018 is growing. Their actions are regulated by an agreement that heads of organizations concluded on February 27 with the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk region, the information policy department of the governor.
"We sign agreements with the largest public organizations. This is an attempt to work out a single content, principles, approaches to the organization of elections. We appeal to the residents of our region with an appeal to take an active part, express their opinion, "said Stanislav Naboychenko, chairman of the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region.
Earlier, the head of the Sverdlovsk Public Chamber drew attention to the fact that the initiative to sign such agreements found a lively response among public organizations. Indeed, agreements on interaction within the framework of the election campaign are concluded weekly with several organizations and this process continues.
In total, the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region concluded agreements with 38 organizations. Among those who have added to this list today are the Youth Election Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region. The agreements were also signed by the Sverdlovsk organization of the "Chernobyl Union" of Russia ", the regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, the Sverdlovsk Regional Association of Veterans and Disabled Special Risk Units.
Recall, according to the latest innovations of the federal legislation, the regional public chambers had the opportunity to send observers to election commissions to monitor the voting process at the presidential elections in Russia.
The signing of agreements takes place within the framework of the project "Public Control", which is aimed at organizing monitoring of the legality in the elections of the President of Russia in March 2018. The project was presented by representatives of the public of the Sverdlovsk region on December 18, 2017 in Yeltsin Center. The agreements will allow the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region to send representatives of volunteer social organizations, trade unions, public associations of veterans and invalids, political parties, youth organizations.
