With each season, VAR technology is being introduced in more and more tournaments and countries. Despite the fact that in some moments this system proved to be very contradictory, it already brought the first correct judgments made solely due to it.

According to Sky Sports, FIFA President Gianni Infantino believes that the VAR will significantly improve the quality of arbitration at the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia, and therefore stands for the use of the video assistant of the referee at the upcoming mundiale.

The International Council of Football Associations (IFAB) on the next Saturday will decide whether to implement the VAR system on an ongoing basis. If a decision is made, FIFA will use the technology at the 2018 World Cup.
