Budapest, as you know, demands to abandon the national educational policy in Transcarpathia. Warsaw, in turn, is imposing its own, rather specific idea of ??history on the world. In it, the Poles are cute, kind, light-hearted angels, but their neighbors (and especially the Ukrainians) are vicious and bloodthirsty barbarians, writes Ivanov's correspondent Ivan Yakovina.

At the same time, both Poland and Hungary are clearly using the fact that they already belong to the European Union and NATO, to which Ukraine only aspires. The Hungarians are using their right of veto to block important contacts between Ukrainian and NATO military and diplomats.

The actual ruler of Poland, her "gray cardinal" Jaroslaw Kaczynski, a year ago openly declared that Ukraine would not be admitted to the European Union if she had her own, and not the Polish version of the history of the 20th century.

This, frankly, is very ugly and in ordinary circumstances is called "blackmail". But the Hungarians and the Poles spit. They perfectly understand that in the world no one will intercede for Ukraine, in which corruption flourishes at the highest level.

In this case, Kiev, too, can not answer anything - for the same reason: rampant theft, nepotism and impunity in power do not allow to rise and strengthen the country's economy. Because of this, the country simply has not enough strength, it is exsanguinated.

But there is still hope for an improvement in the situation. However, unfortunately, it's not an effective fight against Ukrainian corruption - it's just that everything is bad and it only gets worse. The reason for optimism is insane arrogance and even the arrogance of the current rulers of Poland and Hungary. They grew bolder enough to embroider the stick in the wheels of the EU itself, ignoring the objections of other countries.

In the Hungarian case, it is primarily about migration policy. Despite the pressing demands of Brussels and even the lost EU Court, Budapest categorically refuses to host the one and a half thousand migrants from Asia and Africa. Although Germany, for example, gave shelter to a million people. In addition, EU officials have claims to an increasingly authoritarian system of power in Hungary. It is made so that the ruling party "Fidesz" premiere of Viktor Orban almost impossible to remove from power.

The other day the Hungarian government contrived to quarrel with Luxembourg - a tiny, delicate and incredibly peaceful gingerbread princedom. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto called his Luxembourg counterpart "an idiot who hates Hungary". The reason was that Jean Asselborn suggested that the Hungarians not prohibit non-profit organizations that help migrants.

Luxemburger replied that he does not hold evil at the Hungarian. But, he said, Hungary's membership in the EU was threatened because of Budapest's reluctance to follow European norms in politics and public administration.

The Hungarians, who are behaving more aggressively, have already spoken openly: "A little more and you are getting too big!". Well, if they are expelled from the EU, they can then ask NATO to withdraw.

Approximately the same goes for Poland. At the end of last year, the EU began the process of imposing sanctions against Warsaw. In this case, the punishment followed the new laws on the judiciary. According to these laws, the independence of the judiciary in Poland will soon be eliminated, and the judges will fall under the control of the "Right and Justice" party of Yaroslav Kachinsky. Since it is the Supreme Court in Poland that approves (or does not approve) the election results, such an order will allow this party to also sit forever in power.

Now Hungarians and Poles coordinate efforts. They are going to violate the EU rules on migration, the rule of law and democracy together, and also to fight together against criticism and sanctions from Brussels.

It is possible that at first it will work: for the adoption of sanctions against any EU country, the consent of all other countries. Poland and Hungary can help each other with the right of veto. However, if sanctions are imposed against them simultaneously, it will be a completely different story. They already can not get out, they can not.
