The tragedy occurred on February 21, 2018 in the city of Hurghada. As the head of the consular security department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Vasily Kirilich, now the police of Hurghada continues investigative actions, the suspect was detained by the local police.

However, local media reported that the detainee - a man aged 30 years. He was not familiar with the girl and climbed into her apartment to rob. Ukrainka resisted, so the suspect inflicted a few stab wounds on her.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, February 21 in Hurghada, a Ukrainian citizen was killed, who lived in Egypt in a civil marriage with a citizen of this country. According to local media, the girl worked in the department for working with guests in one of the local hotels. The body was discovered by her husband after returning home from work. The girl was hit about ten times, the local police are investigating.
