Two silver medals, giving the right to participate in April at the European Championships in Czech Prague, were won by Sverdlovsk sambo wrestlers at the youth championship of Russia that was finished on the eve of Orenburg. Both are on the account of representatives of UMMC SAMBO Club from Upper Pyshma. Dmitry Kamayev became second in the category to 62 kg, and his team-mate Gleb Poznahirko showed a similar result in weight up to 100 kg. This performance Sverdlovsk in the junior championship can be considered one of the best over the past few years. The previous time we managed to get so high in 2015 only to Dmitry Pozdeyev (up to 82 kg), who also protects the colors of UMMC.

In the final, Dmitry Kamayev was opposed by Artem Aghajanyan from Nizhny Novgorod, last year's winner of the world championship, however, in the category up to 57 kg. Initially, the rivals showed a relatively equal fight, exchanging scores for the received warnings. But somewhere a minute and a half before the end, Agadzhanyan still managed to win the capture and first to make a roll for two points, and then for four. Kamaev's desperate attempt at the last minute to conduct a painful reception, unfortunately, did not succeed.

"When you do not control the seizure, it is very difficult to expect victory," commented the performance of the ward senior coach of the national team of the Sverdlovsk region and the UMMC Sambo Club Alexander Melnikov. - In this sense, during the entire meeting, the rival dictated to Dmitry his conditions, and, objectively, the chances of counterattacking were not enough. However, from the point of view of the result, this performance can be safely recorded in the asset. The main thing is that Kamayev was selected for the European Championship ".

For the decisive battle with Mikhail Kashurnikov from Moscow, Gleb Poznahirko came out in the status of a clear favorite. Last year, speaking for Primorsky Territory, Poznahirko won the European Championship among young men, and this year he had no equal in January at the Russian Youth Championship to 23 years.

"Perhaps, it was this fact that played a cruel joke," lamented Melnikov after the final meeting. - Gleb came to the finals a little more confident than necessary, that at this age, unfortunately, is by no means a rarity. As a result, I missed the roll at the beginning of four points and could not do anything later.

Nevertheless, both rivals were bursting into tears after the final whistle with equal force. The first cried for happiness, and the second - from missed opportunities. And as Alexander Melnikov admitted, he had not seen such a mutual display of feelings for a long time.
