According to intelligence workers, this situation is due to the ever-changing temperature of air on rivers and lakes, resulting in an unstable ice cover.

In order to prevent accidents rescuers are sent to preventive raids by frozen rivers and lakes, urging Ukrainians not to go out on thin ice.

Preventive works were carried out in the Lugansk region in the areas of winter fishing on Lake Pesochnoe and in the Chernigov region - on the Struzhen River.

In addition, work was carried out in the area of ??the entertainment complex of Bochka, Cherkasy region on the Dnieper River, where a large number of fishermen usually gather. In Kharkov, the staff of the Department of Emergency Situations conducted demonstration exercises for citizens at the Alekseevsky Reservoir.

As previously reported in "URA-Inform", employees of the State Service for Emergency Situations of Ukraine urge Ukrainians not to go out on frozen ponds.
