The new museum will appear in the south of France in the city of Aix-en-Provence in the building of the former monastery. There will be collected about a thousand paintings by the artist - more than in every museum of Picasso in Paris, Antibes, Barcelona and Malaga.

The museum in Aix-en-Provence should open by 2021. Of the 1.5 thousand square meters of exhibition space, two-thirds will be allocated for permanent exhibition and one-third for temporary exhibitions. In addition, the Picasso Research Center and public workshops - ceramic and engraving.
