According to the office of the Polish president, the head of state sent a statement on the study of compliance with the Constitution of the law of January 26, 2018 on amendments to the law on the Institute of National Memory.
The President believes that the provisions of the law should be accurate enough that every citizen, after reading them, understood whether his behavior could be punishable or not, - explained in the office.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, on Wednesday evening, February 14, were published in the official journal of the laws of the Republic of Poland, signed by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, changes in the law on the Institute of National Memory. It provides for punishment for the accusations of the Poles in the Holocaust, as well as for the propaganda of the "Bandera ideology".
According to the document, the law comes into force 14 days after the day of publication, with the exception of two articles that come into force three months after the date of publication.
