The murder of former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov in Kiev and the leader of the terrorist organization Oplot Yevgeny Zhilin in the Moscow region was organized by the same person - an "authoritative" businessman named Yuri V. from the environment of the "thief-in-law" of Vladimir Tyurin. This is reported by Rosbalt, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to him, the investigation found that the murders of Voronenkov and Zhilin are related at the level of the organizers. In both cases, the businessman Yuri V. , whom Rosbalt calls "a prominent Ukrainian businessman".

"Oplot" was created by Zhilin in 2010 to combat "neo-Nazism" and defend the interests of the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine. Participants of the "Bulwark" participated in battles in the south-east of the country on the side of the separatists.

In 2016, the ringleader of the "Bulwark" Yevgeny Zhilin provided power support to one of the familiar businessmen in Kharkov. He took part in several transactions to cash large sums of money. In them, among others, one more businessman participated as well, who acted as guarantor of transactions. However, Zhilin's acquaintance was deceived - he lost money and part of the assets and turned for help to Zhilin, who at that time lived in Russia.

"Zhilin always solved questions radically, under his command was a large group of militants. He took the matter seriously, constantly pumped up the situation, there was a big "run-around" and for those who "threw", and - most importantly - the businessman-guarantor, "- said the source of Rosbalt.

It was this businessman who was closely associated with Yuri V. , which, in turn, was the "closest link" of Vladimir Tyurin (Tyurik), whom the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine called the client of the murder of Voronenkov.

When solving the "question," Zhilin, as he writes, Rosbalt, "went on the offensive" and began to take collective farms in the Kharkov area, which were controlled by Yuri B and close to him entrepreneurs. According to the source of the publication, "to oppose" nothing to him, therefore "the issue with him was decided radically".

The surveillance of Zhilin in the Moscow region was led by one of Yury V's relatives. , he himself provided weapons and a car to the immediate perpetrators of the murder. Zhilin was shot in the cafe "Veterok" on Rublyovka in September 2016.

Personality of Yuri V. and the businessman-guarantor, which Zhilin defended, have already been installed. "The only thing we are now clearing out is whether the killers were directly from Yuri's team. (...) These murders at the level of the organizer are related to each other ", - said the source of Rosbalt.

Former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov was killed in Kiev in March 2017. In October, the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine named Vladimir Tyurin, the ex-husband of the wife of Voronenkov Maria Maksakova, the customer of his murder.

The Russian Investigative Committee, which also investigated the murder of a former deputy, did not agree with this version. He was interrogated in the UK. During the interrogation, he said that he had no motive for killing Voronenkov. Tyurin, according to him, did not feel dislike and jealousy towards him. This is also stated by the widow Voronenkova Maria Maksakova.

According to lawyer Tyurin, claims against him from the Russian IC did not arise. The accusations put forward by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Tyurin himself called "dirty intrigues" and announced that he was not involved in them.
