The reason for the dismantling of the structures was the decision of the Kyiv City State Administration adopted in connection with the end of the lease term. As explained this morning, the director of the communal enterprise "Kievobstroystvo" Andrey Andreev, the owners of IAFs had permission to use them for only five years.

It ended last year and the owners had to clean the buildings themselves. At the same time, they did not do this, and today the local authorities came for dismantling, "he explained, adding that starting from March 1, a thorough overhaul of this underground pedestrian crossing will begin.

He also noted that all the structures dismantled today will be sent to the penalty area.

At the same time, the head of the Kiev patrol police department, Yuri Zozulya, noted that during the dismantling, the movement along the underground passage will be partially limited, it will take about two days.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the KSCA previously said that they plan to remove the MAFs and in the underground passage on the Independence Square, they counted more than 120 illegal outlets.
