In Tajikistan, the number poisoned with poisonous flour increased to 39 people

At the end of last week, about 20 patients, mostly children aged 3 to 5 years, were hospitalized with a diagnosis of heliotrope hepatitis, the head of the health and social protection department of the population of GBAO, Nasrigul Nekushoeva, quoted ca-news.

Earlier it was reported that from the end of January 19 people were poisoned from poisonous flour, doctors could not save the life of 11-year-old child. A spokeswoman for the head of the region, Nilufar Aslamshoeva, said that most of the hospitalized residents of the villages of Pitut and Shetzharv of Ishkashim district.

According to Nasrigul Nekushoeva, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan has mobilized a group of gastroenterologists for diagnosis in GBAO and they found out that the source of the disease was the heliotrope weed that got with the wheat to the mill.

"5.5 tons of wheat were imported, local residents already used more than 2 tons of this wheat. The situation is really deplorable. Arriving from the capital in Ishkashim, experts are doing everything possible to save people, "said the head of the regional department.
