Head of the FFU Andrei Pavelko commented on the "Mariupol case", which is considered in the Sports Arbitration Court.

On Monday, February 12, the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) in Lausanne is considering the suit of Dynamo Kiev on the FTC decision to count the capital club a technical defeat for failing to appear in Mariupol for the Ukrainian championship match.

"The so-called" Mariupol case "is not just a claim of the club to the national federation for a decision that was passed by the relevant federation committees and the FFU Executive Committee in compliance with all regulations and legal documents," said Andrei Pavelko.

"This case is about the safety of all Ukrainian football, throughout Ukraine. The question is, can you even play football now in our country. The case of equality of fans watching the game of their team in their hometown. I, as the president of the federation, as a citizen of Ukraine, believe that all residents of our country must be on equal terms. We could not make concessions to one team, and even grossly violating the Regulations, which was approved before the start of the championship by all participants. If we did, it could provoke an uncontrolled situation ".

"I, as the president of FFU, until the last day did everything in my power and competence, so that a match with Dynamo in Mariupol took place. But now, when it comes to the international court, I can not stay away. Therefore, I will take part in the meeting. To help the court, as an immediate participant in the negotiation process, make a fair decision ".

Earlier, the capital club accused the FFU of deliberately delaying the consideration of the case, but the main football body of the country denied these charges and named the specific date of the trial - February 12.
