Roman Petrenko - about the current situation on the last frontier of the Kiev club.
After the departure of the legendary Alexander Shovkovsky football in Dynamo, for once, there was a full-fledged competition for a place at the gate. Those who just recently were happy with the scant matches in the Cup of Ukraine or the last rounds of the championship, now they had a fine chance to make themselves known at the top of their voice. In fact, the main battle for the desired position number one was between Arthur Rudko, Maxim Koval and, connected to it a little later, yesterday's backup by Georgy Bushchan. In the current offseason, the latter entered the status of the main goalkeeper of the capital club, while his closest rival Maxim Koval went to conquer the Spanish example by signing a lease agreement with the distressed Deportivo. But that's the twist of football fate, which sometimes presents sudden surprises. An unpleasant injury was given to Georgy Bushchan, and at the disposal of Alexander Khatskevich, in fact, there were only two goalkeepers - Rudko and very young Vladimir Makhankov. Consider the possible options for resolving the goalkeeper's dilemma.
Why Boyko?.
If a few months ago the invitation to the native club of an experienced goalkeeper did not look so logical, now the relevance of such a possible transfer lies on the surface. Denis Boyko has not been able to find himself in Besiktas for a long time, and now he is exiled to the youth team, where he only supports the form. It seems that the leadership of the "eagles" is asleep and sees where to attach the 30-year-old Ukrainian, and the desire of Denis himself to play, and not just receive a salary, obviously. Moreover, Boyko is a candidate for the national team of Ukraine and can potentially take the place of the main goalkeeper, that's all that is why he lacks that very game practice in a strong club. With a possible return to Dinamo, of which he is a pupil, this question would be decided by itself. Of course, it would take some time for Denis's re-adaptation, but given the current personnel situation, Khatskevich probably would have given him a chance. Moreover, in place and favorite mentor Boyko to work with the goalkeepers Mikhail Mikhailov, who knows perfectly well the possibilities and psychology of his pupil, so there will not be a set of game conditions ... There is no doubt that even after the restoration of Bush, in the event of Boyko's coming, the chances more experienced goalkeeper, especially those who almost three years ago went to the finals of the League of Europe with the Dnieper. And then Denis played in the successes of the Dnipro one of the defining roles, now and then, betraying one stunning duel after another. Generously endowed with nature with excellent anthropometric data, Boyko can and should help Dynamo, where everything could not play for all the known reasons. Now the return to Kiev for him is seen as significant in the light of the complete (almost ideal) common coincidence of interests. Surely, the experienced guard of the gate will not have problems with motivation, and given the strong play characteristics of Denis (reaction, game at the exits, experience), it's clearly not going to merge into the Dynamo game of problems.
What do we have?.
For the time being, one more pupil of the club Arthur Rudko actively plays at the training camps, despite his 25 years, already having managed to secure a place in the gates, and to safely miss him. By the way, on the bench Arthur was planted by Maxim Koval, who had already left for Deportivo, and at the moment the competition to 72nd number is only 20-year-old Vladimir Makhankov. Very conditional, I must say, competition. Despite the status of the young and promising, in the game Makhankov with the naked eye there are obvious problems concerning both the games at the exits and the direct choice of the position. Of course, this is all gainful, but in fact in the present situation of Dynamo, the method of trial and error is a disastrous strategy, especially considering the traditionally high tasks for the season.
It is reasonable to note that at this stage it is quite logical to play Rudko, at some point after Shovkovsky's departure he showed himself in a very favorable light. Recall the fights of the last Champions League: on the road with Napoli (0-0) and both Besiktas (1: 1 and 6: 0), in which Arthur his game gradually, no, no, and made many skeptics believe that now it's for the goalkeeper's position you can be calm ... And already last spring Rudko made a number of mistakes in the championship, and the coaching staff of Kiev had to go on another castling. However, if Dynamo does not foresee a goalkeeper replenishment, then the season the team will probably start with Arthur at the gate.
Young blood Given the young by the goalkeeper's standards, the age of Vladimir Makhankov, on the one hand, we can say that his chances to start playing now seem to be frankly low. Yes, Makhankov has long been considered one of the most promising goalkeepers of the country, plays well for the Dynamo double and in the youth team is called regularly, but the experience of fights at a serious level has not yet received. Unless the Slavutych native has a chance to show himself in a match with strong opponents at the training camps, but so far the actions of the 20-year-old guard of the gate are very far from ideal. A vivid illustration of this is yesterday's match with the Chinese club with the unpronounceable title "Tianjin Teda" (3: 1), when the opponents scored their only goal after the positional mistake of the goalkeeper. Obviously, the point here is not so much in the qualification of a young pupil of the club academy, but in the banal lack of experience ... Makhankov still needs to zamateret on football standards, for which the ideal option would be a short-term lease to the club with tasks simpler.
However, there is another side of the coin. More than twenty years ago, the same young and unarmed debuted in the Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky. But after all, few people believed in the 19-year-old goalkeeper, and only the lazy did not point to serious miscalculations in the game at the exits of the future Ukrainian football legend ... Meanwhile, this chance still needs to be obtained, and it is unlikely that Khatskevich will dare to trust the young goalkeeper in a situation where the pursuit of the Miner in the championship in full swing, and in the European League will have to feel the full power of the Greek stands. Other young goalkeepers who are in the club system, until even to the level of Makhankov do not hold out and will continue to progress logically in the youth and youth composition of Kiev.
