"Digging in history" and paying too much attention to internal problems, Poland forgets about the external threat, in particular, about "what and how Russia has done and is doing with them".

This opinion was expressed to the "Observer" by the ex-Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, lieutenant-general Igor Romanenko.

He drew attention to a kind of "trident" - the location where Russia deployed its troops and armament: the Kaliningrad region of Russia, the Ukrainian Crimea, and Belarus, where after the exercises "West-2017" there remained a significant contingent of troops and military equipment.

Romanenko also recalled that the Kremlin "violates the treaty on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons by deploying Iskander-M missile systems with nuclear warheads in the Kaliningrad region".

"Look what is emerging. In fact, they made a trident - first of all, in relation to Ukraine, but also to Poland, "said the general.

In this context, he remarked: "Poland is deeply concerned not so much with external as with internal problems, and it may end badly for her. They delve into the history common to Ukraine, raise some facts, one-sidedly evaluate them, forgetting what and how Russia has done and is doing with them ".

As it was written earlier, on February 1 the Polish Senate passed a law according to which a fine or imprisonment for up to 3 years is provided for the denial of "Banderov's crimes". February 6, it became known that the President of the country Andrzej Duda intends to sign a document.
