The second time this year snow fell in the Sahara

A few centimeters of snow covered the ground in the city of Ain-Cephra in north-west Algeria. According to the Daily Mail, the locals again went to the nearby sand dunes to enjoy the unusual weather.

In this edition notes that snow in the northern regions of Algeria is an acceptable phenomenon, which, however, happens very rarely. Until last year, the last snow in the Sahara was almost 40 years ago.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, in Algiers, on Monday morning, January 8, in the hottest desert in the Sahara desert, the city of Ain-Cephra fell snow. He covered a part of the desert, which is in the Algerian state of Al-Numam. As the local edition of TSA Algerie notes on its Facebook page, this anomaly has been repeated for the second year already.
