All Russian attributes are so irritating to world federations that they do not want to see it in Pyeongchang. The International Paralympic Committee (MNR) warned the Belarusian national team about the inadmissibility of using the flag of Russia during the Paralympic Games. This was told by the head of the Paralympic Committee of Belarus Oleg Shepel. According to him, athletes do not have the right to hold any actions in support of a suspended team. And this can not be done not only in the territory of the Olympic Village, but also beyond its borders. In case of violation of the order of athletes, and, possibly, the entire delegation will be evicted from the hotels where they live during the competition, "Pressball". Shepel stressed that he did not know whether such an "order" came to other teams. "I want to emphasize: then we defended the team, saying that it was just support for athletes who are unsubstantiously removed from the competition," he added..

Oleg Shepel recalled the incident that occurred at the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Then the sports functionary working in the structure of the Ministry of Transport Andrei Fomochkin carried the Russian flag to the event. He walked with him about a quarter of a round in the stadium, but then this attribute was taken from him. In Belarus, it was noted that this act is a gesture of solidarity with athletes who were completely removed from the Paralympics. On Monday, January 29, the IPC allowed Russian athletes to participate in competitions, but only under the flag and anthem of the international committee. Paralympics will be held from 9 to 18 March in South Korea.
