Duda signed a law banning trade on Sundays

The law passed on the eve is aimed at enabling the employees of the trade to spend Sunday together with their families. According to the agency PAP, according to the law, exceptions can be made for online stores, pharmacies, shops at gas stations and outlets at bakeries where the products are sold on schedule, as well as businesses of the family business.

In addition, now the restriction of trade on the eve of Christmas and on Saturday before Easter is introduced. These days you can only trade until two in the afternoon.

At the same time, the law will be implemented in stages, in particular in 2018 the ban will operate two Sundays per month, in 2019 - three, and only by 2020 all trade on Sundays will be completely banned.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Polish Sejm passed the law on November 24, 2017.

In January, the law was approved by Polish deputies.

The law provides for a penalty for violation of the ban, which will be from one thousand to 100 thousand zl, and in case of permanent violations of the prohibition - imprisonment. The law on the ban on trade on Sundays remained to be signed by the president.
