Representatives of Roma and Genoa met in Milan to discuss the possibility of exchanging the Brazilian defender of the Romans for the Uruguayan midfielder Diego Laxalt of the Genoese.

Previously, the Italian media reported that Peres can be sold to Benfica or Galatasaray, but the option with Genoa looks more attractive for both the club and the player.

The 24-year-old Laxalt is one of the leaders of the "griffins", having played 22 games in all tournaments (1 goal) this season, while Perez did not manage to become the main player of the "wolves" (16 matches in all tournaments in the current season).
