On Monday evening, January 29, the National Corps party, led by the founder of Azov, deputy of the Rada, Andrei Biletsky, showed his so-called "squad".
600 people walked from Avenue of Heavenly Hundreds along Khreshchatyk and finished the way to the fortress of Kosoy caponier. After that, they took the oath.
At the same time, the purpose of the formation of the squad is to ensure order in the streets of Ukrainian cities and to provide with the help of force, as the organizers of the patrol expressly state on their page: "We have a lot. We are not afraid to use the Force to establish the Ukrainian Order on the streets! ", was said in the message..
At the same time, they assured that they would patrol the streets free of charge, because the police "is not enough and it is not all crystal clear." In turn, the advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Varchenko explained that the Ukrainian legislation provides for the registration of public organizations that provide assistance to law enforcement agencies in protection public order and state border, but such actions should be coordinated with law enforcement agencies.
He also assured that they have the right to exercise public order together with the National Police or the National Guard and that now the organization appears absolutely legally.
The adviser said that the squads have the same rights and duties as any other citizen. Varchenko in case of violation of the law, every citizen has the right and sometimes is obliged to react to it, however citizens can not perform a significant number of functions that only police officers have the right.
We would very much advise all citizens who want to use, for example, special means, or carry out a full-fledged work to protect public order, be included in the work of such organizations that officially operate in conjunction with the National Police,.
