CompuBox company published statistics of the battle between Alexander Usik and Myris Briedis in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series (WBSS).
The battle took place on the night of January 28 and ended with the victory of the Ukrainian by the decision of the majority of judges. Usik went to the final of the tournament and combined the champion belts of WBO and WBC.
According to statistics, the Ukrainian struck more blows. A total of 848, but the exact number of them was 212 beats, which is 25% of the total.
Of these, 91 jabs and 151 power strikes, 26 of which were sent to the corps.
Briedis was more accurate. Out of 579 thrown strikes, 195 fell into Usik - this is 33.7% accuracy. On the Latvian's account 46 jabs and 149 power strikes, 28 of them were in the body.
Recall, in the final of WBSS Usik will meet with the winner of the pair Gassiev - Dorticos, who will fight on February 10.
