The situation with safety has sharply worsened in the country. The official website of the department of the consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that activity of terrorist groups has become more active on the territory of Libya, as well as the number of cases of violent actions against foreign citizens, including citizens of Ukraine, employed in Libya.

The Foreign Ministry once again calls on compatriots to refrain from traveling to Libya, and those who are still in this country, immediately leave its territory.

The Ukrainian Ministry also stressed that non-compliance with these recommendations threatens the life and health of citizens, since the Libyan authorities at the moment are not able to guarantee security and law and order in their country.

The Ministry draws attention to the significant activation of radical terrorist groups and criminal elements in the areas of the cities of Ajdabiya, Benghazi, Derna, Jofri-gong, Kufra, Sebga, Surman and the criminal elements, particularly those against citizens of European countries who are in Libya.

The Foreign Ministry calls on relatives and acquaintances of citizens of Ukraine, who are now in Libya, to warn them about the danger of further stay in this country.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the armed group attacked on Monday, January 15, at the international airport Mitiga in the capital of Libya.
