Ukrainian biathlonists Vita Semerenko and Irina Varvinets again failed to compete for medals at the World Cup in Antholz.
Semerenko, who allowed 2 misses, finished on the 17th line, behind the leader for more than one minute. Varvynets, in turn, with the same number of blunders took 34 place. Gold went to the German Laura Dalmayer, silver was won by the Italian Dorothea Vierer, bronze - Daria Domracheva (Belarus).
An interesting case occurred before the very finish between Vierer and Domracheva - the Belarusian athlete prevented Dorothea, however, in order for the race to be fair, Domracheva decided not to fight for 2nd place, giving this position to her rival.
Recall that more recently, Ukrainian biathletes have failed in the sprint. Very soon, the persecution of men will begin. Ukraine will be represented here by Vladimir Semakov.
