The Verkhovna Rada (VR) may appoint a new chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on February 6-7. He recalled that the next plenary meeting of the parliament will be held on February 6 and on that day the NBU head Valeriy Gontareva's report to the parliament. The report is needed within the procedure of dismissal and appointment of the head of the National Bank. "After the report and the decision on the draft resolution on dismissal can be considered personnel question about Yakov Smolie," - said Dovbenko. The deputy stressed that according to the law on the NBU, the representation of the president of Ukraine should be considered by the profile committee, and then the consideration of the candidacy and the meeting with the candidate will be held with the parliamentary factions and groups in the parliament "and only after that the consideration of the candidature will be in the session hall". According to him, before this will be consideration of the application of Gontareva on resignation from the post of chairman of the NBU.
