Applications for certification for participation in the Ukrainian Premier League were filed by Arsenal-Kiev, Ingulets, Kolos, Desna and Helios.

Five teams from the First League of the Championship of Ukraine applied to pass the certification for participation in the Premier League: Arsenal-Kyiv, Ingulets, Kolos, Desna and Helios - reports NEWS Football.

It is interesting that Poltava, who is second in the Premier League standings, did not apply for the certification.

According to the current regulations for the season, the team that won the tournament in the First League will replace the worst member of the elite Ukrainian division directly in the Premier League, and two more will play in the transitional matches with rivals who took the tenth and eleventh place in the ULL. However, it is likely that from next season the Premier League will be expanded to sixteen teams.

The decision on the certification of applicants will be taken in May.
