According to local media, referring to the representatives of the Mechnikov Odessa National University, the winter holidays on the schedule of curricula approved in May 2017 began on December 29 and will end on February 25.

After that, the classes resume again, - the school was assured. At the same time, they explained that the curricula are constructed in such a way that this will not affect the number of lectures and seminars.

Also, the vacations were announced at the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after Ushinsky, the Odessa Law Academy and other higher educational institutions.

Recall, the practice of long winter vacations was first applied in the 2011-2012 school year.

As reported URA-Inform, in Odessa, local authorities for another week extended school holidays. The corresponding decision due to a measles outbreak on Tuesday, January 9, took the operational headquarters set up at the city's Department of Health.
