The parties agreed to resume the old hotline to improve communication between the armed forces of the countries. In the western part of the North Korean border, the telephone connection has already been restored. Seoul will begin to restore telephone communication from next week. Also, the leadership of the DPRK is ready to send a delegation to the Olympic Games in Seoul. It will be special officials, athletes, artists, observers and journalists who will join the supervisory committee.

Recall that in late 2017, the UN Security Council imposed new sanctions and targeted restrictions against Pyongyang. These are bans on trade with oil, gas and textiles.
