It was preliminary established that illegal migrants were on a ship off the coast of Karabully in the west of Libya.

In addition, bodies of two refugees were found whose cause of death is not yet known.

According to the International Organization for Migration, during 2017 and as of early 2018, about 20,000 migrants from Libya managed to return to their countries, who intended to illegally reach Europe.

As previously reported in "URA-Inform", within 10 months of 2017, the Polish authorities allowed to obtain refugee status for 56 Ukrainian citizens. So, only in 2017 the number of Ukrainians who seek asylum in Warsaw decreased from 1,306 to 635, compared with 2016.
