Famous French singer and legend of musical style "ye-ye" Frans Gall died on the 71st year of life, reports the Main with reference to Glavred.

Her death was aggravated by an oncological disease, with which the actress struggled for the past two years, informs portal France Info.

Gall was urgently hospitalized in a medical facility in the suburbs of the French capital, Paris, in mid-December last year.

According to the French press, the singer was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a quarter of a century ago - in 1993 - a year after the death of her husband, composer Michel Berger.
