Rescuers and firefighters argue that the main cause of fires remains human negligence. Especially it concerns the rules of behavior with fireworks and salutes, Ukrainian citizens often do not read instructions for using explosive objects, which leads to countless accidents.

Deadly incidents occurred in Khmelnitsky, Poltava, Zaporozhye, Chernigov, Kharkiv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia regions. On the eve of Christmas holidays, rescuers released a series of videos and instructions of behavior with pyrotechnics on the street and in the room.

As reported in the "URA-Inform, since the beginning of 2017 in Ukraine, more than 1,400 people were killed by fire.
