This is reported by New Scientist.

As noted, this star is located just over four light-years from the solar system. At the moment there is no name for the special operation, however, it should just answer the question whether there can be life on the exoplanet Proxima b.

It is known that around it rotates a planet similar to Earth's size Proxima b, discovered in 2016: it is the closest to us extrasolar planet. The NASA expects to study exactly this object.

The planet Proxima b is much closer to its parent star than Mercury to the Sun, but Proxima itself is much dimmer than the Sun. Therefore, it turns out that Proxima b falls inside the zone of residence of its luminary. It is estimated that the temperature at its surface allows water to exist in the liquid state.

In general, it is expected that in half a century there will be technologies that will help implement the project.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform," NASA presented the public with a unique photo that shows the galaxy ESO 580-49, which is in the constellation of weights. The corresponding image taken with the help of the Hubble orbital telescope.
