So, the staff of the department introduced a new alternative into the custom - to throw out the dry remains of trees in the lakes. In order that those in their own way create the so-called reefs in which the fry can hide, so that they are not eaten by large fish.

After all, trees can perfectly reproduce the relief of the lake and stimulate the growth of algae. Thus, spruce can also save the ecosystem of the lakes as a whole.

"If you imagine the bottom of the lake without vegetation, it is bare, you can say, two-dimensional. By placing these reefs in a lake, you create a three-dimensional space for fish. You are simply creating an entire ecosystem, "said California fisheries expert Joseph Sullivan.

To this end, experts fasten 2-3 tree, and then thrown into the water with a 25-pound load, otherwise the trees will just float on the water surface. Trees rot in water in about 4-5 years.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the world's tallest New Year tree had a height of 110.35 meters and a diameter of 35 meters. And put it to the authorities of the city of Mexico on the Paso de la Reforma Avenue in 2009. During the two months of the New Year's giant, 200 workers were installed, who used almost 330 tons of scaffolding to install such a tree.
