Researchers from the University of Birmingham conducted a study in which people who were obese.

All participants were divided into two groups. The first group was asked to drink 500 ml of still water half an hour before a meal (3 times a day). The second group was supposed to present before the meal that their stomach is already full, and they do not want to eat. There were no additional requirements for the participants of the experiment!.

The results of the study are as follows. Representatives for the first group dropped an average of 4.5 kilograms in 12 weeks. The weight of the participants in the second group did not change significantly.
