The French children's magazine Youpi withdraws from sale all its January circulation after the publication of ambiguous statements about Israel. This was reported by the agency dpa with reference to the representative of the Parisian publisher Bayard, which publishes the magazine.

"There are 197 states in the world, such as France, Germany or Algeria. There are other countries (for example, Israel or North Korea), but no one recognizes them as real states, "said the signature in the journal of the political map of the world.

The scandal erupted after the wording was drawn to the attention of the President of CRIF - Council of Jewish Communities of France Francis Caliph. In his microblog on Twitter, he demanded to withdraw the edition from the sale and devote the next issue of Youpi to the history of the State of Israel.

The basis for the establishment of the State of Israel laid the so-called Balfour Declaration "on the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people".

It was unveiled on November 2, 1917, on behalf of the British Cabinet in the form of a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild. In this document, London expressed support for the idea of ??the emergence of a Jewish state.

The State of Israel was established in 1947 by a two-thirds majority of the UN General Assembly. The Arab countries did not support its foundation.
