It is noted that the legendary tree was planted in 1828 by the seventh US President Andrew Jackson. Specialists of the National Arboretum, assured that the magnolia is rotting and too damaged to remain in its place.

According to the president's wife, she is worried about the safety of journalists and visitors of the White House, who often stood in front of a tree during the take-off of the presidential helicopter from the lawn.

So, the magnolia will be cut already this week. Mrs. Trump asked to keep the surviving timber.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the American head of state Donald Trump and his wife, during their visit to South Korea, caused their displeasure with their kiss.
