One of the most famous women in rock music, ex-member of the band Nightwish, Tarja Turunen recently performed at the October Palace with a solo concert. The last time the actress came to Ukraine five years ago, this fact played a role, tickets for a concert of the Finnish rock diva were bought out. In the hall was a full house.

On the stage together with Tarja that evening there were more than a hundred people. Orchestra Kyiv Fantastik Orchestra and National Chapel of Ukraine "Dumka". The descendant of the legendary composer - Nikolai Lysenko. "Vіtayu, Kiev! ", Tarja greeted the Ukrainian audience in the hall. And in response I heard a loud ovation.

And this tradition for more than ten years, but it has received a gloomy, mystical frame only now. "From Spirits And Ghosts (Score For A Dark Christmas)" - an album with the presentation of which this time Tarja Turunen visited Kiev, very original, he managed to accommodate different musical styles: dark ambient, ethereal, neoclassical and new age.

The Kiev performance of the singer consisted of "white" and "black" parts, each lasted for an hour. Tarja came out in a snow-white ball dress for the performance of the famous hits of the "white" part - "O Holy Night", "White Christmas", "Silent Night".

And then she changed her attire to a gothic black dress, in which she performed songs in the style of "Black Christmas", starting with "O Come, O Come Emmanuel". The atmosphere in the hall was magical. Then came the neoclassical songs "Pie Jesu", "Amazing Grace", "O Tannenbaum", and "Feliz Navidad", which, in the frame of Tarja's soprano, gained lightness and weightlessness.

It was evident that the singer is happy to return to Ukraine, several times she repeated from the scene how happy she is about this.

Also, as part of the concert, Tarja Turunen performed a composition from the old-school days of the Nightwish "Walking in the air".

The final song was "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", despite its rock sounding performed by Tarja, she dispelled the darkness of the Gothic fairy tales, all present seemed to fall into the fluffy Christmas snow.

People in the hall applauded standing. The singer was asked flowers and gifts, with her own written pictures, and even bottles of wine. Tarja willingly shook hands to all who stood under the stage, and sincerely rejoiced at such a warm welcome.

It is known that the singer came to the capital with her little daughter, she spent several days in Kiev, and everyone passed in rehearsals. Reception, according to the approximate, was satisfied. And the organizers promised that they plan to bring Tarju Turunen back to Ukraine, but with a different program.
