The UN General Assembly voted on the resolution containing the conviction and non-recognition of "the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol".
The resolution strongly condemns "the current temporary occupation by the Russian Federation of part of the territory of Ukraine," again declares "non-recognition of its annexation". This is the third version of the resolution on this issue. The resolution contains 12 recommendations: "to immediately put an end to all violations and infringements of human rights with respect to the inhabitants of the Crimea".
It is clear that the resolution was proposed by Ukraine in co-authorship with another 30 countries. 70 States voted in favor of the resolution. It is clear that this is Ukraine itself, the countries of the European Union, the United States, Israel, Turkey, Japan, Georgia, Moldova with its dual power, and small states such as Vanuatu, Kiribati and Haiti. It is difficult to understand what guided Turkey and Japan, and Georgia simply can not calm down after the loss of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, India, Cuba, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Syria, Serbia, Venezuela voted against the resolution. That is, the CIS countries and those who themselves faced the pressure of the United States. In addition to them, Bolivia, Burundi, South Africa, Cambodia, Eritrea, Myanmar, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Uganda voted against the resolution. Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan simply did not vote on this issue, they are not even among the abstaining.
And what about Crimea itself? Vice Speaker of the State Council Yefim Fix once again stated that the UN representatives "come up with facts and adopt resolutions on their basis", instead of coming to Crimea at least once and getting to know the situation on the spot, to find out the real state of affairs. The deputy of the State Council of the Crimea Vladislav Ganjara stated: "This resolution in no way corresponds to the real reality that has developed on the peninsula. No human rights of national minorities in the Republic of Crimea are violated. On the contrary, since the reunification of the Crimea with the Russian Federation, all the peoples and nationalities that live on the territory of the peninsula have received support. Including the Crimean-Tatar people, which was finally rehabilitated, which Ukraine did not do for all 23 years, while the Crimea was in its composition. Today, the protection of human rights in the Crimea is given great attention. The data on which the resolution is based was clearly obtained not from the territory of the Crimea, but from the territory of Ukraine from experts who allegedly understand the situation on the peninsula, but were not there either in 2014, or now ". The words of the US Ambassador to Russia John Huntsman that the Crimea belongs to Ukraine and he restores territorial integrity depends on the improvement of relations between Russia and the US, followed by the council of the deputy head of the Crimean government Dmitry Polonsky - Mr. Huntsman should expand his knowledge of history and geography.
