Such data on Tuesday, December 19, published the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. Thus, according to the ministry, for a month the country's population decreased by 16.6 thousand people.

At the same time on November 1 of the last year the number of the available population of Ukraine was 42 million 620 thousand people. This means that for the year the number of Ukrainians has decreased by 201.8 thousand people. At the same time, the number of permanent residents of Ukraine as of November 1, 2017 amounted to 42 million 248.6 thousand people.

The natural decline in the population of Ukraine in January-October 2017 amounted to 171 thousand 153 people. However, according to the State Statistics Committee for the period in question, 306 thousand 372 children were born in Ukraine.

The department also recalled that the data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the zone of the ATU in Donbass.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, as of September 1 this year the population of Ukraine decreased by 163.3 thousand people. Compared with this period in 2015, the reduction occurred to 42 million 642.4 thousand people, whereas at that time the population was 42 million 805.7 thousand people. Thus, for the year the number of Ukrainians was reduced by 163,300 people.
