Chile won the presidential election in Pinheiro

The victory was won by former President Sebastian Pinier. According to the Santiago Times, referring to the data of the Central Election Commission of the country, for Pinera voted 54.51% of voters, and this 3.5 million people.

At the same time, his rival, senator-left-centrist Alejandro Guilliere received 45.49%. Thus, 2.55 million people gave their heads to him. According to the legislation of Chile, the next presidential election in the country should be held in four years - in 2022.

The elected president will succeed the current head of state - the representative of the Socialist Party of Chile Michelle Bachelet.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, yesterday in Chile held the second round of presidential elections. In the second round of voting, the former president of the country Sebastian Pinera, who scored 36% of the vote in the first round. The senator-left-centrist Alejandro Guiller, supported also by extreme left-wing parties and movements, scored 22% in the first round.
