This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin in the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

According to him, this time the EU planned a whole range of targeted sanctions against Russian oligarchs and people close to Putin. Russia continues to block many decisions in the UN Security Council, but this does not mean that the sanctions should be stopped. The European Union has indeed extended the existing sanctions, without strengthening them with new items, but it still demonstrates Ukraine's support from the European community.

Klimkin also was pleased with the decision of Canada to begin selling Ukraine new types of weapons, this applies to the United States, which allocated a separate line for Ukraine in its budget.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", earlier Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin asked to increase pressure on the Russian Federation with the help of sanctions, his petition will be taken into account in 2018.
