"The trial is terminated," said his lawyer Paul Bekar.

It is noted that the meeting of the Belgian court lasted five minutes and Catalan politicians were not present at it.

As it follows from the publication, the Supreme Court judge Pablo Ljarena agreed to withdraw the European warrants for the arrest of the former head of Catalonia Carles Puigdemona and former members of the regional government of Antoni Comin, Lewis Puca, Merichel Serret and Clara Ponsati.

In this regard, the persecution of Puchdemon in Belgium has been discontinued, however, according to existing practice, this step can not be done automatically - this requires a final court hearing.

At the same time, the national warrant for the arrest of the Catalan policy remains in force. In other words, he must be arrested immediately if he crosses the border of Spain.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, in Brussels there is a trial of the ex-head of the Catalan government Carles Puigdemon and four former ministers. It is noted that the court must decide on their extradition to Spain. At that time, Catalan politicians began to testify in the Brussels court of first instance. The meeting is held in closed mode.
